Sewer lines that are not working properly can also be a result of old clay style pipe. This type of sewer line over time can becomes clogged with mature tree roots. (are there many old mature trees around the septic area?) also, could be crushed by something? Someone drove over the septic field and crushed one of the sewer lines? Or just filled solid with soil? The sewer line could also be plugged with fat or other objects that are not supposed to be put into the sewer pipes.
